Kiana Smith

Kiana Smith is a freelance web designer, Content and Marketing Specialist, and International Relations Specialist currently studying for the Foreign Service Assessment. With a diverse background and extensive experience in dance, international relations, and digital marketing, Kiana brings a unique blend of skills to her professional endeavors.

Kiana is an integral part of the InSpira Administrative Staff, having created their website, which launched in November 2021. She collaborates with the administrative team to create a safe and welcoming environment for all InSpira dancers and families. Kiana's journey with InSpira began at the organization’s inception in 2002. She trained with InSpira from the age of two until she graduated high school in 2017.

Kiana was blessed to become a Better Chance Scholar her freshman year of high school and was accepted to Wilbraham and Monson Academy, a boarding school in Massachusetts. There, she developed a love for culture and service through scholarships that allowed her to travel to Cuba and Costa Rica. These life-changing experiences inspired her to pursue further studies in International Relations and Spanish at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. At Dickinson, she earned a Bachelor of Arts, studying abroad in Málaga, Spain, where she immersed herself in Spanish culture and researched the influence of black bodies in Spanish society.

Her marketing internships in New Jersey and New York City introduced her to market research and social media strategy, complementing her academic pursuits. At college, Kiana was involved in various activities, including ESL support for military spouses, serving as a Global Ambassador, and participating in the Emerging Leaders program. She was also a member of the Senior Secret Honor Society, Wheel & Chain, and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., initiated at the Upsilon Delta Chapter in Spring 2021.

After graduating from Dickinson in May 2021, Kiana pursued and received her Master's Degree in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University in May 2023, specializing in International Security and International Organizations. Concurrently, she launched her web design company in January 2022, creating websites for various organizations and eCommerce stores, including InSpira’s website.

Kiana’s diverse experiences and dedication to service and education position her as a dynamic professional ready to make significant contributions in the fields of international relations, public policy, and digital marketing.
