Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is the late fee policy?Should your credit card be declined, IPACC has the authority to temporarily suspend your child from classes until the dues are settled, and your account may be removed from the automatic billing setup. Additionally, if payments are not received by the end of the business day on the 15th of any month, a late fee of $30 will be added to your account for each month late.
-
How can I pay for tuition?Tuition is auto-debited from your card on file on the 1st of each month. Auto-Pay is required for all dancers enrolled in classes. If you wish to pay by cash or check, please contact us to set up a special arrangement.
-
If I go on vacation, will you pro-rate my tuition for missed classes? We do not pro-rate tuition for missed classes, but we do offer make-up classes. You have until the end of each dance season to make up any of your missed classes in any class of your choice that is within your level and age range.
-
When is tuition due?To facilitate payments, we provide an automatic billing option for your credit card. You can opt for the ten-installment plan, with charges applied on the first of each month from September through June, or select the two-installment plan with a single charge at registration and on January 1, and a one time full time payment paid at registration. Should your credit card be declined, IPACC has the authority to temporarily suspend your child from classes until the dues are settled, and your account may be removed from the automatic billing setup. Additionally, if payments are not received by the end of the business day on the 15th of any month the latest, a late fee of $30 will be added to your account.
-
What is the refund policy?Students canceling their full season enrollment prior to the start of the program will receive a full tuition refund (including fees) without penalty. This means if you cancel before the first Tuesday after Labor Day or if you have not started your classes yet but would like to cancel, you will receive a full refund. We suggest that parents/guardians encourage their child(ren) to attend at least six classes before withdrawing, as it often takes this long for children to adjust to a new environment. For school-year programs, tuition is pro-rated on a monthly basis. Notification of withdrawal must be submitted by 5 pm on the last weekday of the month in order to terminate enrollment and not be charged for the following month (e.g., a withdrawal date between September 1 and 30 warrants payment for September tuition, but not October). A family's account may still be active if a balance remains or the withdrawal is from one of several classes, electives, or for multiple children. All tuition for the IPACC Dance Programs is non-refundable after March 31, with the exception of medical withdrawals with an applicable doctor's note. After a student’s first class, any tuition or performance/costume fees paid are non-refundable. If a student withdraws prior to the first day of class, all tuition is eligible for a refund except the registration fee

Can I start mid-season?Yes, you can enroll mid-season, but we highly recommend starting classes in September, which is the very start of our dance season! Our classes are taught at a progressive pace, so every week counts! If you start mid-season, you will be a few weeks/months behind the other dancers. (Please note: this is just our recommendation - Enrollment is open through mid-Spring). Please note a teacher may ask the student to stay in the same level going into the new year or recommend one of our Summer Program options so that your dancer full acquires the technique and more.
-
When does your dance season start? Our dance season starts at the beginning of September every year and runs until the beginning of June. We end the season with a big June Show. We offer multi-day Summer Dance Camps & Dance Intensives from June - August.

What are the benefits of the Enhance Pathway? The Enhance Pathway is designed for dancers seeking more rigor in their training. While we do not have specific requirements for all disciplines yet, we recommend adding an additional class and/or an elective technique class to build your repertoire, strength, and conditioning. We also suggest attending workshops and festivals, such as the DC Tap Fest, to learn from the best in the field.
-
How do I register for my pathway?Simply type the pathway you are selecting in the field provided on the registration form.
-
Can I switch between pathways during the year?Switching between pathways is possible, but it is recommended to discuss your goals and progress with your instructor or pathway coordinator. They can provide guidance on the best pathway to suit your needs and help you transition smoothly.
-
Can I be on the Enhance or Elite Pathway and only take one discipline?Technically, yes, you can be on the Enhance or Elite Pathway with just one discipline. However, we recommend exploring additional disciplines to broaden your skills and experience. If you strictly want to focus on one discipline, we suggest following the recommendations of either the Enhance or Elite Pathway to maximize your growth and development. Additionally, taking more classes across our three locations is highly recommended to enhance your learning experience.
-
How can I get more information about the pathways and class schedules? For more information about the pathways, class schedules, and any other inquiries, please visit our website or contact our administrative staff at any of our three locations. They will be happy to assist you and provide all the necessary details.
-
Are there additional costs associated with the Enhance and Elite Pathways? There may be additional costs for extra classes, workshops, and festivals. These costs will vary depending on the number of classes you take and the events you attend. Please consult with the administrative staff for detailed information about any additional fees.
-
What are the benefits of the Elite Pathway? The Elite Pathway offers specialized training sessions to help dancers achieve the highest level of technical proficiency and performance quality. Elite dancers are encouraged to participate in multiple classes and attend workshops and festivals like the DC Tap Fest to gain exposure to top-tier talent and training. This pathway is ideal for those aiming for professional-level skills and opportunities. It is perfect for those interested in auditioning for our academy, as academy members MUST follow the Elite Pathway.
-
How do I switch pathways? You can switch pathways by sending an email to our administrative staff and filling out a Pathway Change Request Form.
-
Can I take classes at multiple locations?Yes, we encourage dancers to take advantage of the classes offered across our three locations. This flexibility allows you to access a wider range of classes and instructors, enhancing your overall training experience.
-
How do I know which pathway is right for me?Your current skill level, goals, and commitment will determine the best pathway for you. Discuss your aspirations with your instructor or pathway coordinator to get personalized recommendations. The Enhance Pathway is great for those looking for more challenges, while the Elite Pathway is ideal for dancers aiming for advanced technical proficiency and professional opportunities.
-
Can I do the Elite Pathway at age 2.5, 3, or 4?No, you cannot. The Elite Pathway is not available for these ages.
-
What is the difference between the pathways in the Little Inspiration Division and the InSpira EXPerience? The Little Inspiration Division introduces multiple disciplines, with rigor coming from trying up to four new disciplines per week. In contrast, the InSpira EXPerience pathways are viewed by the number of disciplines, but each discipline has required classes to complete that level under the training pathway. For example, Level 1 Ballet in the Emerge Pathway is simply the normal Level 1 Performance Technique (PT) class taken once a week. In the Enhance Pathway, you are required to take both the PT and Ballet Level 1 Technique class, which does not have a recital like the PT class and strictly helps strengthen the dancer's technique and strength. The Elite Pathway for Level 1 Ballet includes the PT Level 1 Class, Level 1 Ballet Technique, and a FLEXMasters course for the full year, with offerings ranging from Strength and Conditioning, Pilates, Yoga, and more to bring additional structure and rigor to the dancer's journey. While the purpose of the pathways is the same, they manifest differently depending on your age and the division you are in.
